Great day out in Whitby today on their regatta weekend. Even though there was no boat racing due to the rough seas there was plenty to see and do; from dancing Indians to hanging from a steel bar in the hope of winnning £20. There there was fair, slack lining and the carch crash rescure demonstration by the crew from North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (Whitby fire station). I also marched the girls up the 199 steps to the Abbey (and back down again) which we’ve never done before.
