I love this public right of way – it makes me laugh every time I get to it when I’m out with the dogs. You see that little yellow arrow on the green square plate on the post? Well that means the right of way is in that direction. However, that gate is chained shut so the only way through is to limbo under that wooden bar blocking the opening. It’s quite tricky and with an abundance of barbed wire around there as well you have to watch what you’re doing. It’s even worse in summer when the brambles are so thick you often have to hack your way through – but it does add a certain challenge to our runs and walks! It’s frustrating that some landowners don’t bother to keep rights of way, that cross their land, clear and I often wonder if that is through simply not being bothered or tactic to put people off using them? Of course there are plenty of people who abuse these rights of way too and that is probably a factor when it comes to land owners as well. As usual, and on both sides, the few spoil it for the many. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ryedale #northyorkshire #rightsofway #walking #dogwalking #farms #farming #dogs #labrador #blacklab #dogsofinstagram #labradorsofinstagram #runningwithdogs #runningdog #dogfit #fitdog #healthydog #mansbestfriend #familydog #doglover #pawsinmotion #runningpartner #labradorretriever #labradors4life http://ift.tt/2Bw0HME
