Today we remember. We remember those that have served our country. To defend our lands, our values and our way of life. I not only remember those that have fallen in service, like my Uncle Arthur (bottom right), but also those that served but were lucky to come home, like my Grandad (top right). Of course I never met my Uncle Arthur, but sadly neither did my Dad (his brother) who was born just as WW2 ended. I did know my Grandad but he never spoke about his war. He was at Dunkirk and also in the tank regiment in North Africa. I have a pewter Sherman Tank (the type he was in) that he bought and gave to me just before he died and that reminds me of him daily. We shall remember them. I shall remember them.
