This is as far as I got on this mornings run…my doorstep. I set off and immediately there was some slippage under foot. But it had just been bouncing with rain and felt it was above freezing. However I didn’t bank on very slippy ice slush, clearly caused by freezing temperatures and rain. I went down…..hard! With the dog on the hands free belt lead at least I had both hands to break my fall but my ass hit the ground hard. At that point I decided not to risk it…..I was hurt, wet with freezing slush and just a little pissed off! Much to Duke’s annoyance the run was abandoned. Oh well, a couple of days off before I can run on Sunday won’t do any harm.
