Patrick Melrose
Patrick Melrose was the hot new drama of the summer, and if you didn’t get caught up in all the hype for it when it was originally out, it’s still available to stream right now. It’s on NowTV, which is one of the UK’s biggest streaming services. There’s this handy guide to NowTV if you are completely new to it. Patrick Melrose follows Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character who struggles with demons from his past. Will he be able to overcome them in the present?
Game Of Thrones
Another TV show that has received a lot of hype and critical recognition is Game of Thrones. It has been on the TV for a number of years now, but if you haven’t seen it yet, there is still a chance to catch it on NowTV. It is a fantasy show that follows some noble families battle it out across the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos. If you love the show, you might want to catch up with the series of books that it was based on.
Forever
If you prefer your TV shows to be a bit light-hearted and funny, then you might want to tune into Forever which has recently launched on Amazon Prime. It stars Fred Armisen who is best known for his comedy Portlandia, alongside Maya Rudolph, who you may recognize from Hollywood comedies including Bridesmaids.
Jack Ryan
Do you love spy thrillers? If so, then the new Jack Ryan series on Amazon Prime is the one for you! Jack Ryan has been played by many different actors through the ages, but this time around John Krasinski is taking the role. There are thirty-five original Jack Ryan novels that the TV show could take inspiration from, so it looks like we could be in for a few more series to come!
The Romanoffs
If you have missed Mad Men since it disappeared from our screens, you might be intrigued by Amazon Prime’s The Romanoffs. It’s been created by the man behind Mad Men, Matthew Weiner, and follows people around the world who believe they are related to the Russian Romanovs.
There must be something on this list that appeals to you. Now you just need to get some popcorn and put your feet up!
